PDVSA will contract a licensor to perform the conceptual design to source out the optimum process of decreasing CO 2 to the acceptable levels in the downstream C 2 Recovery. The CO 2 trains (3-4) will be located upstream train IV extraction unit as well as the existing NGL extraction trains. The CO 2 separated from the packages will be treated to remove water and H 2S before compressed into the downstream facilities.

Enppi and Y&V as a consortium scope will cover the basic & detailed engineering for the CO 2 removal units, the tail gas treatment, CO 2 compression, project utilities & storage system, detailed engineering scope of the C 2 recovery train as well as the required flare system and the retrofit.
